Dear GNA-G Community member,

The GNA-G Nominations Committee (NomCom) is pleased to announce 8 nominees for the GNA-G Leadership Team (LT). Now is the time for the GNA-G community to give feedback and guidance to the NomCom.

The nominees

On October 12^th, the NomCom opened the call for Nominations. We are very happy with the response to that call. We are pleased to announce the nominated individuals:

• Ivana Golub (PSNC, Poland / Croatia) 
• Julio Ibarra (Florida International University, USA) 
• Francis Bu-Sung Lee (SingAREN, Singapore)  
• Ed Moynihan (Indiana University, USA) 
• Magreth Mushi (North Carolina State University, USA) 
• Omo Oaiya (WACREN, Ghana / Nigeria) 
• Marco Teixeira (RedClara, Brazil)

The current Leadership Team consists of four co-chairs: Erik-Jan Bos (NORDUnet, Denmark / the Netherlands), Buseung Cho (KISTI, Korea), Harvey Newman (Caltech, USA), and David Wilde (AARnet, Australia) and has two vacancies. The vacancies will be filled with 2 people from the candidates above, selected by the NomCom. 

The attached document presents each of the nominees, including their motivation, their nominators and seconders.

Request for feedback

To assist the NomCom in selecting the candidates with the best fit for the LT, the NomCom seeks community advice. If you prefer one of the nominees, have a view on the best composition of the LT, or have other advice for the NomCom, please let us know. 

Feedback can be sent to: nominations@lists.gna-g.net or the NomCom members individually. All feedback will be treated confidentially and will only be used by the NomCom for deciding about filling in the open LT positions.

9 November 2021 - Announcement of candidates by the NomCom, community feedback opens 

5 December 2021 - Community Feedback closes 

15 December 2021 - NomCom announces new LT members during GNA-G VC.
